I've heard over and over that there is no benefit to taking the ACT over the SAT and visa versa, but I have already sent in SAT grades. Looking back I'm not too happy with them and I hope to have my ACT grades back tomorrow (they don't tell you exactly when the grades come out). Assuming I do well on the ACT and send it in, will they only look at the better of the two tests, or will they see I did well on the ACT but also see I did poorly on the SAT?

Some people do better on one test than they do on the other. Send all your scores and they will superscore the best math and verbal.

Good luck!

Take Both

I always recommend that applicants take BOTH. You will find that you typically excel in one or the other and could make the difference in an offer or NO offer. Also suggest taking it more than once, since West Point will super score your results. Best of luck to you!

They will be able to see all the scores you send in but are only going to consider your best scores in evaluating your file.

You will be evaluated on the standardized test that you do the best on.
So, if you end up doing better on the ACT, that is what you will be evaluated on rather than the SAT.

The post above is correct, the committee will disregard previous scores if you send in new ones (assuming they are in before the deadline for scores)
