Last Friday we attended a small "Welcome Aboard" get together for the 4 new candidates heading out this summer. Sec. LaHood was in town and was gracious enough to stop by and spend time talking to these young men and women. We have known the Secretary since he was a MOC and he has always been a big booster of USMMA. His All Academy Nights the number one school being recommended was always USMMA. Talking with him I see that commitment has not changed. He very much wants to see the academy brought up to the same standing as the other academies and plans to see funding is available. I am referring to the grounds/structures, the academics are as tough as any other school.
