No, he did not get a call, but his nominating MOC was no longer in office. We did not hear from the new representative.

it would be awesome if some of us forum regulars could meet for that drink after the Bancroft doors close on I day. We should pick a time and place, wear some name tags with our forum names so we can find each other and drink a toast (or 2) to our new mids. Wondering if I should establish a new thread on this possibility after most notifications are out there (may be a bit premature and insensitive to those still waiting to do that right now).
Juvat, I second your idea. I would love to meet those who have gotten off this roller coaster before we board for the next wild ride. I hope all the second timers will be there!

We have no appointment (yet) we still have hopes, but I do not think your comment above is at all insensitive to those of us still in a holding pattern. I think it is a great idea to meet and I hope we get to join in. I would hope none of us here still waiting would begrudge those of you who have made it. It may or may not be this year for us, but I am truly happy for each and every one of you and if we don't make it, have an iced tea for me! Lol

I not only like your comment, nukepharm, but I second it. We too are still in the holding pattern. As supportive parents, really we are the only ones who know what these young adults have done to get this far. I hope we can join you and raise a glass!

We live about an hour from USNA. I expect we will visit again soon. I'll see if I can find a good place for us to meet on I Day. I love the idea of wearing name tags with our forum names on them! Good luck to those still waiting.

Here are several suggestions for you...Boatyard Bar & Grill on 4th street is great lots of locals or the Federal House, or Galeway or Dock Street Bar & Grill are all good.
