Senior AP classes?

I am currently a junior and I'm currently in my first, and only, AP class this year (calc BC). I'm also taking and have taken honors classes in the past though. The reason I did not take more AP classes earlier was because I was on a different career path and not focused as much on college. I do have a 4.1 gpa but I know it's more important to take the most challenging classes your school offers and do well, than take all regular classes and get a 4.0. My question is this: if I take more AP classes my senior year, will the academy see that I'm taking those (especially one that I know will be second semester senior year)? I also plan on taking some classes at a local community college this summer, probably political science and another science like molecular biology. I'm not expecting to get credit for these classes should I receive an appointment, but I'm interested in these subjects and hope taking the courses would help make up for my lack of APs.

I was told your 7th semester transcripts are very important, so I would say any AP class you can take is a great idea.

Part of the application is for your school to send a copy of their school profile, your official transcripts, AND a copy of your SENIOR SCEDULE. So yes, they will see what you are taking.

Can you give any input on how the JC courses will reflect on my application? Not as good as a high school AP course or would they be just as good?

The college courses will have more impact than regular high school courses. They all are there to show your success and ability to succeed at USAFA. How your perform and the quality of the schedule helps separate candidates with similar grades. Once at the Academy you take test for validating courses. There is no credit but it allows you to move further along in core classes.
