Hello I've been reading these forums for a while but just now created an account. The question I have is on the questionaire for national security in the permit to report package, one of the questions state
"In the last seven years, have you introduced, removed, or used hardware, software or media in connection with any information technology system without authorization, when specifically prohibited by rules, procedures, guidelines, or regulations? Y/N "
In the past I've downloaded songs through "limewire" at first I didn't think it was illegal but I think if you get down to the details it actually is illegal. And it probably falls under the guidelines of this question. I checked NO in fear of losing my appointment but I want to do the right thing. When I go this summer I will be completely honest about it if asked but could I be sent home for something like this?

I asked my dad about that and he told me that were referring to hacking. So, no worries. They just don't want you hacking into their system or other secret government ones.

i honestly

doubt they would consider illegal downloading of music or movies to be that severe. who doesnt download movies or songs off the internet? it'd be different if u were selling them for your own gain, because that in itself is very illegal. you have no worries.

ok so this is the same as the physical, i filled out my physical thinking that they wanted to know every single ache and pain i ever had. This resulted in a bunch of ridiculous and unnecessary remedials. There i should have only put down stuff that required me to go to the hospital. Here you should only put down stuff that required you to go to the police station. The purpose of that question is not to find illegal downloaders. It's to find hackers. If you're feeling bad about Lime wire i recommend a priest.
