SF-86 Form Different Versions

For the SF-86 Form that USAFA requires, Admissions posted a link to the Dec. 2010 Version of the SF-86 which is 127 pages. There seems to be a newer Nov. 2016 Version of the SF-86 that is a bit longer at 136 pages.

Does anyone know what the difference of these two forms are and if the 2010 Version is fine or if we should fill out the 2016 Version instead?

The SF-86 you are filling out is for reference only -- you will fill out the actual one during BCT. USAFA uses the older one because it is formatted in a way that is easier to print out into hard copy for completing ahead of time.

Because the form asks for information from many years ago USAFA understands that you will need assistance from your parents. The idea behind pre-filling the SF-86 is so you can get that assistance and won't need it while you complete the actual online version.
