Shabby conditions of Barracks

My guy is in the Hockey Camp. I have been taking my kids to games in Tate Rink since 2000. What gave me chills was a few years ago against Air Force when with the teams on the ice for the National Anthem, two cadets rappelled from the ceiling right down on to center ice! They delivered the game puck to the referee! Army vs Air Force is always one of the most INTENSE games you will ever watch. The discipline of the Army Cadets was extremely squared away (standing at attention across the blue line), it made the Air Force look like long haired undisciplined civilians. Which of course they are not.

Exactly...they're not civilians. You had the rest right.

I'm just surprised Army is allowed on the same ice as Air Force. The two programs aren't even in the same league (I'm not using league in the official sense).

I was disappointed a few years ago when Air Force ALMOST made it to the Frozen Four in DC. I'm not saying I'm a huge fan of Air Force sports... because I'm not.... in any way.... but it would have been fun to see them play at that level.

Before I'm accused of Army hating.... I do pull for Army in the Army Navy game.

The operating budget of West Point is nothing to laugh at. The facilities are great (from what I've heard). Not sure if people expect gold plated toilets and servants for the occifers.... but it's a federally funded school (and we all know how good the fed is at allocating $$).
