I had a bankart repair surgery on my shoulder on Sept, 25 2014 after dislocating it during a football game. I got a DQ for shoulder instability. My surgery and rehab has gone well and the doctors expect for me to be fully released on Feb, 18th. I have started back into my normal sports routine, and I am feeling no problems when playing tennis or swimming. I have an LOA and nominations so the last thing I need to receive my appointment to USNA is to get medically cleared. I got an e-mail from a lady at the Naval Academy waiver board, she said that when I am released they will review my waiver case. I have already gathered up all documents related to my shoulder injury.
Is there anything else I can do to help my chances of receiving a waiver? Would a note from my local family physician stating the condition of my shoulder in addition to my surgeons release note help? Also, would it help to get a coaches note saying that my shoulder is fine and not interfering with my sports(tennis and swimming)?
