I saw some Sea Trials photos on the USNA Facebook page and it brought back a lot of memories. I just wanted to say, as much as I love tradition (you better if you end up in the USMC), it shouldn't hold back a willingness to explore change. Sea Trials is only about a decade old, but it's growing into a great event -- something that ultimately is (or can be) much more meaningful than the crazed scrum of Herndon. Everybody has to dig deep, everybody's part of the team, and a lot of good training opportunities for the upperclass.
And yeah . . . I'm still stodgy enough to say they're still plebes till Herndon, but BZ on Sea Trials, '15!
