SLE Acceptances coming out

Does anyone know how to update my SAT information for the SLE application? I sent them a request for change, is that all that I can do? I also sent my SAT scores to USMA. Thanks.

Hey TrojanNation,
When did you apply? I applied three nights ago and am still waiting for a response :)

I applied on the first day. When I didn't hear from them on the 10th, I got kinda worried. I was constantly checking my email on the 10th, and then randomly today I got the email. A real surprise!
The next big batch they're sending out will be on March 1st I think, so keep your eyes open that day. But lots of people (including myself) are receiving their offers in between those days.
Keep us posted, and good luck!!

Regards, Trojan

Accepted

I got accepted for the first week of SLE on the 13th so for everyone that is freaking out over not getting their email of acceptance on the 10th just relax. I can't wait to go and get to meet some of you guys who also got accepted. Good luck to everyone

im curious to see if anyone from Florida has been accepted to SLE. i applied literately the minute it open and have not received an acceptance. not sure if Florida is as underrepresented as other states which would limit its acceptance rates.

Hi Nikkie,

To my understanding it's quite the opposite. SLE is partially a recruitment event for the academy and part of the goal is to bring more members from the underrepresented states to the program in order to even out the numbers.

That being said, I have no idea whether or not Florida is under/over represented.

They still have quite a long time to send out all the acceptance offers, and among thousands of applicants (not to mention this year they are NOT putting emphasis on those who apply first, applying on first minute is supposed to be same as if you apply on the last day).

I guess all I'm saying is, don't fret, and best of luck to you.

SLE

Underrepresented can also apply to gender and race. Don't get wrapped around the axle about SLE. If you get it, GREAT. If you don't, seek a candidate visit. Plenty get appointments that did not attend SLE. Believe it or not, there are those that go to SLE and decide WP is not for them (less competition).

Craig, You are right about that. My DD was one of the 500 that went to SLE last year (and NASS, too) and decided NOT to apply to either academy. Instead, she only applied for ROTC Scholarships, as she decided she wanted a more traditional college experience.
