Basically as a potential recruit, your file was handled by the Athletics officer for admission instead of the RC. Instead of giving the file/workload back to the RC because the coach can't blue chip you, the Athletics officer is responsible for your file management as it assumes that there is some sort of personal connection there. This explains why the MOC office sees your file as a recruited athlete.
Assuming that you didn't win your district and you are not going to get an offer as an Additional Appointee to meet the recruited athlete goal (only chipped), that means you are in the waiting game for a spot off the NWL Top 150 (stats?) or trying for one of the other class composition goals. If that is the case, your chances probably are not that high because that is tough competition. I wish I could say you would hear quickly; however, when it comes to athletes 1) coaches like to have a backup just in case and 2) the admissions officer is usually spending a lot of time late in the process with the chipped athletes working direct and USMAPS appointments. The two usually result in late notification of the TWE for the other soft recruits. Your best bet is to contact admissions and see where you stand. You'll need to talk to the Athletics admissions rep since they know more about your file as well as staying inside the NCAA rules.
