The women’s lacrosse match is shaping up to be a good one along with the men’s game this year. It’s taken some time for the Army women, but they are now very competitive and there is a chance both teams will be ranked this year when they meet. Hate to count chickens before they hatch and all..

In women’s rugby Navy has come a long way. The men’s matches are usually competitive, but the WARs (Women’s Army Rugby) always blew out Navy… until this year. Navy still lost this weekend, but it was close at 15-5. A far cry from the 70-0 blowouts of the past.

Coast Guard beat Army in women's rowing this weekend at MIT. Let's go D3!

This is Navy Rugby, both Men's and Women's FIRST YEAR as a varsity sport. The Navy women have a 12-7 record which is not bad for year 1.
The Navy men are have a record of 15-0 and are ranked number 1 which is also not too shabby for their first year as a varsity sport.

Men are number 1 in first varsity year?? That's amazing.

Can't wait to see Navy Women's Triathlon compete next year, as it will be their first year as a varsity sport!

For those who missed it, the Army/Navy Women’s lacrosse Patriot League semifinal last night was epic. Nothing better than arch rivals meeting in a semifinal and it was one of those games that neither side should have to lose. Both goalies were beasts and it came down to double overtime with the winning Army goal scored by South River (Annapolis) native Kathleen Sullivan.
Army has come a long way since becoming D1 in 2016 and going 0-9 in the Patriot League.
As my brother once said, “It’s not a rivalry if one side always wins”, and it’s safe to say Army/Navy women’s lacrosse is now a rivalry.
