Hello, I am applying for the Army ROTC scholarship, about to turn in my application this week (Delayed PMS Interview), but am worried about one thing.
I have a 3.3 UW GPA,
28 ACT,
Extracurriculars: Debate, DECA, Future Business Leaders of America, Student Council, Boy's state, Future Soldier Training, coaching, work, with a letter in leadership, and I won 1st place in both DECA and FBLA competitions.
I also won the state debate tournament and won both regional and districts spelling bee in 8th grade, but I'm not sure if that counts.
I did play 9 years of football since I was 7 years old, but stopped playing my sophomore year because of bad experiences with my high school football team. When I see the average scholarship winners, they are all people who have played sports through out their high school careers. Will my lack of sports in high school damage my chances? Thank You.
