Still in the game

There seems to be TWE's going out - where are the BFE's? I am sad to see some of you have received the TWE. This is such an emotional process - but if we get that envelope then DS will reapply as well - yeehaa another year, please God save me from that! Happy mail boxing everyone!:eek::eek:

Have no clue how that feels but respectfully if land moves that much i would move from the land. I was raised in Staten Island and could not wait to get away from there, I was scared a big storm would come and flood us out....

Sandy took 6' of ocean to my sisters house that was 1000' from the beach. The houses near the beach were under water.

I was born and raised in Earthquake territory...then moved to Tornado Alley. I'll tell you -- listening to the winds and holding your breath that a tornado doesn't hit your house/town is scarier than any earthquake I ever felt. There have been quite a few close hits since I've been here. Not sure any place is 100% safe.

I agree. I do not like to watch my natural disasters form and come toward me. I don't mind a whit if the earth decides to rattle a bit :smile:

Hopeful - my DS got the TWE on Saturday. He's going to ODU too and is going to reapply. Keep in mind the Preliminary Application opens April 1st (or thereabouts).... I was stunned when I realized the reapplication process will begin in two weeks! DS tried to apply for NASS, but it's just for Juniors going into Senior year. I hope they have a good year at ODU! Good luck!

Just wanted to drop in and say that I am a fellow stalker, of both the mailbox and this thread(!), I hope everyone still waiting gets some good news soon! I'm very anxious to hear from USAFA, USNA, and USCGA (read: a lot of stress on seeing a mailbox filled with TWEs).

To ask though, do we know of an "opening floodgate" date for USNA similar to what USAFA has and seems to have just hit? I've tried snooping around the appointment threads of previous years and it looks like it trickles all the way through to April (and May for some). Oh the terror if it were so!

Just got home from long weekend and went to post office to get mail. No BFE and lots of TWE's but not one from the Naval Academy so all is still good. The wait continues......
 
DS received his TWE on Friday afternoon:thumbdown: Thankfully had principle nom from MOC and was already offered an appointment to USMMA back in January. So, it's off to Kings Point for us!:thumb: Best of luck to ALL the DS & DD still waiting. Our agonizing wait finally over.
 
Well no mail in MA. No news is good news has become my mantra.

Still nothing in NH . DS is away in FL at Lacrosse camp till Thurs. . He left strict instructions not to tell him if anything comes and he also threatened to kill us if we open anything lol.
 
Was anxious to get to the box today as we were gone all weekend. Nothing and we wait for another day. Happy St. Patrick's Day fellow mailbox stalkers!
 
I have had a principal nomination since December 30th, my 7th semester transcript was processed on February 19th, and I am still waiting. The suspense is killing me! Go Navy and happy mailbox stalking!
 
Still in the game in CT with no luck of the Irish! I guess I should consider it good luck that there was no TWE...
 
Just missed a call from my senators office. Good news is coming!!!!!!
