Still in the game here in the south west corner of Virginia. No mail today.

We're still in the game here in Texas as well. Mail hasn't come yet...

DS received a sports award last night at his athletic banquet and emailed his Admissions Counselor this morning letting him know about it along with a copy of the certificate. Admissions Counselor responded back, "Thank you for letting me know." Unfortunately that was the extent of the email...

Sounds familiar. DS was named to conference all-stars for vars. bball 2 weeks ago & emailed his AC to ask if his HS coach or counselor should email that info to Admissions to add to file - "Thank you and congratulations." and then something like ~Unfortunately, the January 31st deadline has passed so we cannot add to your file because we cannot guarantee it will be there when the board reviews your file.~ That appears to be true for everything except Senior year transcripts. (not sure why they can add grades but not other info :rolleyes:)

Still waiting in So CA. Sorry to hear that DD being voted co-captain of her Girls LAX team, might not count now as the vote was conducted 2 weeks ago. Spring sports are spring sports.

One likely explanation is that USNA requested the additional information (7th semester transcript) that they're willing to consider after Jan. 31. If they allowed people to submit any new info, the Jan. 31 deadline would become meaningless.

A second explanation is that, in the overwhelming majority of cases, information received after Jan. 31 other than grades and new SAT/ACT scores is unlikely to make a material difference in one's application. Take, for example, being named captain of a team. If this is the only leadership position the person has had in 4 yrs, there's still a lack of leadership. If this person has already demonstrated leadership throughout his/her h.s. years, the extra item is unlikely to make a difference. USNA accepts things up to Jan. 31 and makes a decision NLT April 15; they aren't missing much that's crucial.
 
Very, very quiet in Ohio. There hasn't been an Ohio addition to the appointment thread since December 13th :(
 
Quiet at the post here. Decided to play today with 5,000 3rd graders at a event :eek::eek::eek: At least it took my mind off it for a while.
 
Nothing but bills and junk mail today.... Still in the same boat. The wait continues here in Southern California.
 
Nothing in PA. The worst part is that no one from my district (at least on this forum) has posted an appointment. Hopefully I will find out more this weekend at my nomination ceremony.

Still waiting in IL. Two BFE's today from other colleges, but no news from USNA. Nice to have the USCGA appointment in the pocket!:smile:
