Still in the game

Stalked mailbox today. Same results as prior days, no TWE, no BFE. Still in the game in So CA.
 
Okay, so I just did something I SWORE I would not do…I called the MOC’s office who nominated DS. I spoke with the assistant who helps with nominations and she said the MOC just received some names TODAY from the Academy. She said she could not release the names but said the MOC would be notifying the appointees very soon. She said it would probably be by letter due to his schedule. I’m praying and crossing everything possible that DS’s name is on that list! Mail hasn’t been delivered yet so for the first time I’m actually hoping we don’t get any!
 
We usually let DS get the mail when he gets home from school. I figure good news or bad..best he gets it first himself as it has all been his hard work. DH (darling husband) is at home most days and has been a portrait of patience (most of the time). Today DS was going out after school and gave DH permission to get the mail.

NOTHING again!!! And so we remain on the island for another day.
 
I am calling MOC office just to keep my sanity. I will update whatever info i get.
 
What if TWE was delivered to wrong address?

So I have this ongoing nagging thought - how would we know if a TWE was not delivered to the correct address? Our mailman has been known to mis-deliver mail on a somewhat regular basis. :eek: I've suggested several times to DS that he call his BGO and MOC, but so far, no action on his part:bang:
 
No news either way in NH today . I am praying we all hear something soon.
 
Mailbox stalking here in TX for today has been completed- nothing to report.

I'm enjoying the little heads smashing against the wall.
 
Nada in NJ. Optimism slowly being replaced by resignation:help:

Hubby and DS left this afternoon on an overnight college visit (Plan B). The only thing that would have stopped them was the arrival of a BFE; husband was really hoping :biggrin:

No news is... NO NEWS. :bang:
 
Another no mail day in NH. Way back in what seems like a lifetime ago in June when our DS was invited to meet with the head of admissions in Boston did we imagine March would almost be over still waiting! The dead silence is painful, every phone call the heart skips a beat, we have almost given up on the mailbox all together.
 
No mail here.

A few things I have ponder today:

1. Strange that one governmental organization is making you look forward to a date that another governmental organization has led you to dread for most of your life :)

2. May the launch of college acceptances allow the clarity of mind for those holding multiple choices to make those decisions.

Beautiful day outside, so I am going to go pull weeds :cool:
 
I don't want to say it's been quiet on the appointment thread...But the list is now buried on page 2!
 
Oh my! It seems like a cloud has settled over our sweet little group... We are all getting a little disheartened. Stay strong and look how much fun we had holding hands through this.
 
Twice now I got all excited as I walked up to the mailbox (large envelope sticking out), but not a BFE.
