Still in the game

No news in NH. Haven't heard any NH appointments. Didn't know most BFE's are out already

Nothing here....I must admit I was a little relieved after the weekend and Monday bloodbath......the stress continues

Still on the island here but coming to terms with reality. I would like to join the "support group" but I am thinking I may need to bring a KEG when this is all over..A while ago I thought " no news is good news!" But Have begun to realize, no news is now looking like bad news. :frown:

I agree Pmoony.

We are moving ahead as if we have already received the bad news. We are coming up on housing requirements so we must march on. :)

You know what they say about life giving you lemons, well I make a mean Lemoncello Margarita, I'll bring some chips and homemade salsa too. TWE party!

My mom walks in and asks, "Get the rejection letter yet?" Also, my father(military man, although Army) is trying to stay positive. It's all very disheartening to hear of people giving up and losing hope. I, however, refuse. I'm gonna keep my head held high and keep hoping until I have that letter in hand that says there is no hope left for this year.

Love your great attitude! It ain't over till it's over. I really hope you come to our TWE party with that BFE in your hand!!!! I'll make you a virgin Margarita  Cheers MiddyB and may we see your name added to the Nomination thread real soon.

I agree.....Keep the faith. What will be will be, but stay positive.

Another day on the island. DS and DF (Dear Family) are all still encouraged. Either way, we are more prepared.

Now, where is my Vodka/Tonic/Lime?

My husband makes a mean homemade Lemoncello! It is delicious. Still sad here in MA - DS trying decide his future now that his dream is off the table.

100 pages! congrats prepswimmom!!! a small victory. I wish everyone who has received the dreaded twe the best in the rest of their plans (b, c, d, z whatever). If you've made it this far, you deserve success)

still in the game in Illinois...

I am very excited our little thread has made 100 pages! It is 100 pages filled with hopes, dreams, laughs, disappointments and friendships made over the love we all feel for our children. Thank you to all for coming along for the ride.

thank you all for raising my spirits!! after reading the forum earlier I became discouraged. so glad I decided to check in again! Also, we need to see at least a few BFE's on our thread!!! I will be happy for whoever receives the Manila envelope. thanks for calming my nerves, I practically jumped off the island, lol

:smile:To All a big "THANKS" on this forum!!!
I not only have been a mail box stalker but also a forum stalker... And yours has
Been the best!!! My DD is still waiting for her USAFA Appointment. But I want to thank you for all your comments.. I have laughed with you and have
shed a few tears with you. What I cherish the most is I haven't felt alone
In this long process. I try to tell friends, coworkers and such how hard it is waiting and I have felt a lack of interest/understanding.
Last night as I looked up in the sky and made a wish on the brightest star I realized it was surrounded by many other stars. They too are just as bright if we could get a closer view. I thought of all our DD's and DS's. Technology just doesn't always do the eliminating process justice. We as parents know how great our children are and how well they shine!!!

THANKS AGAIN!!!

Soccermom18

Good luck to all still in the game.

MiddyB don't ever give up until the fat lady sings. As long as the TWE has not arrived there is still hope. Best of luck.

No, THANK YOU Prepswimmom for having the insight to start this thread. Even though April 15th is quickly approaching we are still here getting support, advice and making friendships. best to all

SOCCERMOM18 - You are right - friends do not understand the roller coaster we have been on. They think "so he got rejected - my kids did to from his/her top choice". Try and tell them we have lived this for a year and all the layers they have gone through in the application process and how much work it took to get this far and their eyes glaze over. Only my new and amazing Forum friends understand the amazing highs and crushing lows. I couldn't have survived all these weeks without you.
