I will be on the thread if you want to start it. We are both curious about where the application fell short and it would be awesome to have a support group for the next 12 months. DS went to NASS last summer and was so excited about the posssibility of attending.

My son was at week 2 of NASS and didn't want to leave! He could not wait to get back - had his heart set on I-Day and Marching into Bancroft with his class. Next year....
 
My son was at week 2 of NASS as well. He also got invited to a September CVW and went. Had a blast.

He is still in the game at this point, but opening the mailbox each day when he gets home is nerve wrecking. It's only a mailbox, right?

He's also waiting to hear on his Marine Option NROTC scholarship.

This is good news! Means it's not over until it's over. There is still hope.
 
Still nothing but junk mail today. At this point I'd welcome any news, I'm ready to know what my college plans are already :frown:

That's the way DS felt. The TWE was not what he wanted but at least he could plan his future.

And the game continues for DS. No news is ... no news.
 
It seems like quite a few of us are still waiting in Virginia. I wonder if admissions is still working state by state.

Hoping for good news soon.

Also waiting in VA, the appointment thread doesn't say much about us doesn't it?

Nothing in MA today. Strangely, my hubby did get a text "out of the blue" from DS' BGO, stating "USNA is still reviewing applicants." DS has not reached out to anyone, including the BGO. It's nice to know his BGO is thinking of him. It must be really hard for the BGO's at this time of year...
