Thinking about the timeline of last week...someone said their TWE was dated the 18th, that was a Tuesday, and they began arriving (per the posts) on Friday the 21st...so if this week is the same, we have a couple days before it begins again...

Just curious as to how many of the still standing are recruited athletes in our little group on the island.

if it helps any of you at all. My DS's TWE was dated March 18, postmarked March 20 and received on March 24. Seems like they were done on Tuesday but not mailed until Thursday. Since we live in CA it took three days ( and a Sunday) to get here but some who live closer got them on Saturday March 22.

I am rooting for all of you. We are still processing and figuring out which plan B to take...still a few more to hear from.

No mail in the Tulsa OK area... and according to my source in "western OK", nothing there either.

Kinda tense for DS, since we do know of 5 appointments in our district -- one being his best friend (LOA) since kindergarten with very similar stats. I believe the others are all LOAs as well. Nothing we can do but wait it out and see how admissions slots them and/or how competitive DS is nationally if we're down to the national pool.

Longtime follower first time poster- My DD is being recruited as an athlete, still waiting to hear back. She was supposed to be offered a blue chip... We will see.

Word, welcome to our club! What is the difference between being a recruited athlete and getting blue chipped?

I am ignorantly surprised the recruited athletes are still waiting, I guess I just assumed that would all be locked down in the fall.

Chased Bob down this afternoon while he was delivering the other side of the street. He loves delivering our house last!
Nothing from USNA.

A friend's son from our town was applying also. He was a congressional nominee. They went, as a family, and toured the academy last week during spring break. They got the TWE Monday. Wrap your brain around that. Heartbreaking. They have a solid plan B though and are moving forward.

DS's nomination came from our Senator. Wondering if the Admissions Board is reviewing by state, district, alphabetically etc.

Nothing in MA today. Strangely, my hubby did get a text "out of the blue" from DS' BGO, stating "USNA is still reviewing applicants." DS has not reached out to anyone, including the BGO. It's nice to know his BGO is thinking of him. It must be really hard for the BGO's at this time of year...
