DS was turned down for NROTC tier III scholarship and has yet to hear from USNA, if the TWE comes, his plan C is to become a college programmer at one of his "navy" schools and reapply, should he be denied the scholarship a second time, I understand that he can continue on to commission if he passes screening for Advanced Standing. My question for anyone in the know, is, is there relief for federal student loans if he committs to the military after being denied the scholarship. I know that there are/were some programs in place where student loans were reduced or relieved for some federal govt. jobs-any thoughts?
