Summer Seminar Apps Open Dec.1

Where from in Minnesota? I just moved out to Massachusetts after growing up pretty much my whole life S of the river.

I took the PLAN test last year got like a 28 or 29 can't remember, but I didn't do so hot skipped like 6 Q per section, because I ran out of time.
Just took the PSAT a few months ago pretty sure I destroyed it so easy but not gonna get the results till Christmas break. Just submitted my app, probably gonna update my academic scores later.
Does anyone know how to find your PLAN test scores if you can't find your packet?

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Chaska! I don't know if you know where that is.. but that's awesome that you lived here!

The workout thing seems perhaps a bit unnecessary, but this is from my point of view. I've heard that you shouldnt try to fit in things just to "fill in" the resume.

Connecticut

And does anyone know what GPA/PSAT scores they're looking for?

I've heard mid to upper 60's for each category for the PSAT and just as high as possible for the GPA but even if you don't have that you still have a chance for summer seminar!

Here are so few points where I would not call it bragging but more like repetition of similar things.
I am only an applicant myself, so these are just my opinions.

1) D and E practically imply the same thing

2) B, creative but it really looks like you put it there just to "fill the blank"

3) Good, I am a current Life Scout myself. I do believe it is fair that you listed Venturing as seperate from plain BSA. Likewise, I did the same thing with OA.

4) B, this is something I did not put myself. However, I feel like it can be implied that if you are in Scouting you will be doing service to camp- especially if you are in OA. Any wiser opinions out there than us two applicants?

other note: I also speak Chinese and lived overseas- something I wanted to share

I just submitted my application. Does anyone know when they usually make the decisions and when they let us know? It's a rolling admissions, right?

I'm pretty sure you won't get any news until February. I submitted mine the first day and nothing has happened yet. They've got a lot of apps to go through, so I think it'll be a while before any selections happen.

This is only my opinion thought, so I may be wrong.

Hope to see you guys there =]

On academy admissions the SS applications are open till February 28th. Do you get to pick your session dates or do they do it?

Once you start doing the application, I "BELIEVE" that you get to choose the session right there. If not then, then once you are accepted, you'll have a chance to choose. You aren't automatically assigned. However, sessions fill up, so you don't want to wait til the end. In my state, most SS applicants look at the later sessions, because things like Boy/Girl state in the first week of June, and many of them are involved with that. But you WILL have the opportunity to choose which session. It's either during the application process, or it's immediately after being accepted for SS. Either way, you have a choice. Best of luck. Mike....

My blue and gold officer told me they usually begin accepting on the first of the year. This is closest to a "for sure" answer that i could find.
