Think hard, the score was 31-12 & the game wasn't really that close. The bride & I drove up to West Point for the game (& stayed overnight at a B&B then visited FDR's home in Hyde Park.) I have to admit that the stadium had a worn out feel & look compared to Falcon Stadium. It was right before the presidential election & all I saw was Trump signs on the lawns. I said to the missus, "Maybe this guy has a chance."
On a sadder note, one of Army's football team members recently died in a car accident going home to NYC & his # was displayed predominately.
I also ran into the AF Coronal who, after the Labor Day weekend's AF Homecoming game on decided to hold his own vehicle checkpoint & personally talk to every car forced to stop exiting the game! I was so mad that when he approached my car I thought he was a cadet (he was in short sleeves & his collar brass looks just like a cadet's to my untrained eye) I was ready to unleash some choice observations. At the last second, I saw he was an older man, DD said he was a Colonel & was able to respectfully hold my tongue. But I did entertain the thought of stopping him from wherever he was going in Mitchie Stadium, you know, just to talk...
