Hi everyone, hope you are doing well. I was wondering if Westpoint Super Scored the ACT. I have gotten 27 on both my act tests, but if I super score both of them, my composite goes up to a 29.

WP super scores both standardized tests. In other words, when taking these test multiple times, admissions will accept your highest score.

Thanks for the response. In other words, WestPoint will take the best of each section and make the highest composite score? Or do they just take the best Test score you have gotten on your best test.

One thing I found out is they superscore, but NOT between the old and new versions of the SAT. In other words, if your best English score is with the old SAT and your best math is with the new, they will not combine those.

WP is interested in your Math and English ACT scores, not the composite. They super score each section across multiple tests.

Make sure you took the writing test at least once they will not consider your scores at all till you do.

Unless previous responders have direct insight, (and they may very well have) I would find it hard to believe that WP only cares about Eng & Math ACT subscores. Every class profile I've ever seen list all of the ACT subscores. If they announce to the world what the profile looks like, then that to me would be a pretty good indication for what they deem as important. In fact they only list subscores and not composites, so a superscored composite really would appear to be an afterthought. Because they do superscore you could test prep focus on English & Reading one session then Math & Science the other. This is just one way to skin the cat.

Lets not split hairs on this. Just understand, you need to work hard on the standardized testing. I have found, after taking these tests on your third or fourth try you peak. Then its important to seek outside help to learn the technique of taking this tests. You can also, look at the sites and learn from the lessons of the day.

USMA considers all subscores. Reading and Science are important, but Math and English are very important. Strong Math and English scores may compensate for below average scores in Reading and Science, but the reverse is not true.
