So this is the question...if DS takes a 4 year Army ROTC scholarship to a state school can he reapply to the AFA next year? He didn't get an AFROTC scholarship this year but can't afford college with out the Army scholarship...any advice? Who do I talk to?

Of course he can apply to AFA next year. I have an Army ROTC scholarship that I have accepted and I already have a file open for the AFA class of 2016. My advise would be do the ROTC and then talk to your ALO and tell him/her your situation and why you did AROTC instead of AFROTC. thats just my advice

I just hope that he can switch branches without penalty or ROTC saying no since its a different branch. Hey, he likes the Army and would be happy and proud to serve in it but AFA is his dream and he is on the "gualified, NV" list for this year.

I'm not sure if they will say no or not but my feeling is that they would only say no if he stayed with army until his junior year then wanted to switch. Call the PMS of the state school he is going to attend and ask him. Also try posting this thread in the Air Force academy thread. There are alot of people there who know alot about this stuff and you will probably get more help than you are asking for:thumb:
