    Is there a thread somewhere that helps a new dad understand all the terminology? I'm getting lost with "DS" and "DD" and "CVM" and "MOC".

    Thanks in advance.

    From the main Forum page go to the General Discussion section and select the Community Information and Feedback link. The first item in there is the Acronym list. It was posted by "TacticalNuke"

    Welcome to the military where acronym is king!

    Of those you asked about:

    DS = Dear Son
    DD = Dear Daughter
    CVM =?? Maybe you mean CVW which = Candidate Visitation Weekend
    MOC =Member of Congress (Rep./Sen.)

    The above said, other than CVW, none is really a "military acronym."

    THank you all for the help. Hopefully I will need to become very familiar with these terms when my DS get his appointment.
