I am sure that many of the people on this forum are either veterans, active members of the military or family members of veterans. I would simply like to say thank you to all of you for your service to our country.

Point of order first learned from my USN grandfather: Memorial Day is to honor those who gave their lives in service of our country - the deceased. Veterans Day is for all veterans, including on that day the living.

LongAgoPlebe, I personally thank all veterans and servicemen on Memorial Day. Many of them lost brothers, and I don't want to stand by while they may feel unimportant.
