I just completed my freshman year on a four year scholarship for Navy ROTC. I am in the top of my class and have had good standings all year. I injured myself playing volleyball a few days ago, and was unable to attend CORTRAMID in San Diego for summer training. They were trying to get me set up for the east coast in July but after my MRI today, that will no longer be a possibility. My MRI confirmed a torn ACL, sprained MCL, torn meniscus and impactual fracture (dent) in my femur. I am concerned about what will happen now with my scholarship. I cant have surgery for another 4/6 weeks while I wait for my fracture to heal. Then I won't be back up on my feet until August and going back to school. I won't be able to run until November and we usually take a PRT in October. I have read that I should be good as long as this isn't a permanent disability but want to know if anyone else has had a similar situation. I should be healed and back to full physical activity six months after surgery.
