My DS did it last year with his Massachusetts National Guard buddies. 26.2 miles. Full uniform with boots & 40 lb pack. This year he's wearing runninng shorts & sneakers. But he's still doing it so kudos to him!

I'll be at the end of the race in the Beer Tent (free Sam Adams & Harpoons!) watching his progress on the smart phone ap. Hoping for good weather.

After the Tough Ruck my DS & his buddies will go straight to the Black Rose Pub (https://www.blackroseboston.com/) to recharge those lost carbs. A bit of the Irish lilt in music too.

I might help them out a bit.

Though my preference is Boston's last surving Combat Zone gin mill, The Tam (https://www.thetamboston.com/). Men's room has no door. Cash only. No music. No TV. No bar tabs. No food. Limited beer. Mostly booze. Once the favored hangout of the sailors from the Charlestown Navy Yard.
