Transfer of mo nrotc sholarship

Son earned a 4 yr marine option scholarship which was applied to the citadel. His 1st choice is vmi which he was already accepted to, he is currently on wait list but unknown where he falls on list. Anyone else dealing with same situation but has more info on how wait list works?
 
Does anybody know how long it takes to hear if your scholarship has transfered? In my case, specifically for Army.
 
We are in same boat but what I can tell you is that NROTC has been awesome, patient, and willing to address my concerns. My DS has his scholarship at a school where we are still awaiting word of acceptance..when I called Pennsicola to ask about waitlisting for schools he HAS been accepted to they said to get his name on waitlists and let them know either way once we hear from assigned school...they shuffle scholarships in early April. Good luck to one and all...and, my hairstylist thanks everyone for the guaranteed income..job security for washing the gray right out of my hair is a beautiful thing! :eek:
 
He received scholarship in mid December, was accepted to vmi same time, and was accepted to the citadel mid February. When would wait list start reassigning schools?
 
I can't say I'm an expert on 'how it works" but I can tell you that we had a friend last year who was #8 on the waitlist for Notre Dame's NROTC unit. She had already planned to go to another school but then got accepted at the Naval Academy and AF Academy....

Anyway, by the time everything shuffled out by the May 1st deadline, enough people had opted to attend an academy or other schools and Notre Dame had a spot for her. She still elected to attend the Naval Academy and couldn't be happier.
