Does anyone know an estimated time on when USAFA posts travel and packing list information? The portal just says to watch for info coming....

As I recall it wasn't in March so April or after. It was in plenty of time- you'll have to be measured for a uniform & boots but don't stress about it, the measurements are for general info for the supply dept. They won't be holding you accountable if you messed up on your inseam-LOL. You can search threads on buying & wearing boots before reporting. People wear them prior so they're broken in. DD didn't & had NP as boots are much softer then back-in-the-day. Also the compression shorts threads will come up: DD said young men needed them, the girls didn't but again, personal preference. Underwear amounts & colors comes up-have extra pairs & no one cares about the colors of them or sports bras in Basic. My info is 2 years old so some changes may have occurred, so hopefully some current cadets will reply-Congrats & all the best!!

+1 @Wishful - you will probably receive a number of documents/list between mid-March and min-June and should have plenty of time to prepare. The Class of 2022 Appointee Booklet would be a good reference for the short-term, but I would not make any purchases (e.g. boots) until the version for the Class of 2023 is released. I know that immunization availability was problematic for some appointees in the past (AF guidelines differ from that of most doctors and Influenza vaccine starts becoming scarce in the late spring), so would get started on this list as soon as the official communication is released.

Congratulations and good luck.

You will get all the info you need in plenty of time. I know it is tough time of waiting, HURRY UP, waiting, EMERGENCY HURRY UP, waiting.

In my sons' time, the measurements had to be done by a tailor or similar professional. It really helped my sons because as fencers, they were SUPER THIN (still are!), but their thighs were "thicker" than others' their weight/height.

Please don't stress.

As far as I remember, when I inprocessed in 2015 the only thing I brought were my orders and the clothes on my back. Besides extra underwear and under-shirts of course haha.
