Met the letter carrier at the box this afternoon, and there was the dreaded TWE. DS wouldn't be home from school for two more hours. After two hours of anxiety, he arrived home. He opened the letter and didn't say a word for some time. "What does it say ? " I finally asked. He calmly said " It just says I still need my DODMRB (which he already has). I'll check and see what the problem is."
His file is still in good shape and will soon be going before the review board (PLEASE). DS calmly waits while I and my wife slowly go crazy.
Anyway good luck to all candidates and parents still waiting. We know what you are going through.:thumb:

LOL, runninbob! That's good stuff. A similar thing happened to my husband yesterday. DS started an application to another service academy and then ultimately decided not to pursue it before he completed the process. He notified his liaison officer and the admissions department a few months ago, but they still must have had him in their candidate system. When the TWE from THAT other academy showed up in yesterday's mail, my husband said his heart skipped a beat - all he saw at first was a blue military logo in the upper left hand corner of a dreaded TWE.

I got a call from my dad after work saying I needed to get home quick. I looked on the table and saw a TWE and my heart dropped. I read the letter and it was a conditional appointment with the condition being that I needed to complete my DoDMERB. Needless to say I was quite the happy camper.
