How much looooooooooonger of a BCT will it be this year compared to previous years? It's going to be a looooooooooong basic this year.
Much more difficult than it was for the "kinder and gentler" BCT for the Class of 2017 or much more difficult than it was for the classes back when BCT was hard?Basic got reworked and it's going to be much more difficult for this year's class.
The length will be the same. Basic got reworked and it's going to be much more difficult for this year's class.
Almost twice the amount of discretionary time for physical training... (rumored)
The first oneMuch more difficult than it was for the "kinder and gentler" BCT for the Class of 2017 or much more difficult than it was for the classes back when BCT was hard?
That's a good question that I don't have the answer to. I'll see what I can find out though. So what part of BCT suffers if they are increasing physical training?
I've heard that they cut out many of the various briefings we had, and that some of that is condensed into the week of military training after Acceptance day and before classes start. Almost all of this is still speculation at this point though.
Seeing as I know that one of the vice commanders of BCT had some special ops training just recently, it makes me wonder what they have planned. (Please forgive me if I have the rank incorrect. All I know is that he is one of 2 second in charge.)
Yes, he's in my squad and made ALO last month. He's been talking about how tough it's going to be. I'll ask him for some clarification if I run into him tonight.
Are they trying to make it harder just to make it harder or is there a purpose? One thing I hated more than anything, when I was enlisted many moons ago, was pointless training. Did they think the c/o 2017 missed something or that their training was lacking in some way?
Bring it on!
LFry94, with that being said do you know if 2018 will still get to eat at ease after basic and have the unlimited pass system?
