Does anyone know if MOC's accept updates to a candidates application for nomination? (I realize this may vary among MOC's)

Is it beneficial to update in the event of service awards or a job promotion to a supervisory position?

Also, your thoughts on updates to USAFA applications--are they helpful?

Thanks!

Updates can never hurt. Definitely submit them. Contact both your MOC's service academy staff member and your academy counselor and ask them how they'd like you to submit your updates. Basic philosophy: If you don't submit any chances, then there's a 100% guarantee that it "Won't" make any difference to your application. If you do submit updates, then you are 100% guaranteed that it "Might" improve your application. Best of luck... mike....

2 of the 3 MOCs to whom my daughter applied did not send written confirmation that her application and all other items (recs, transcripts) were received, so my daughter called the offices to confirm and at the same time asked about updates. All said that of course they would welcome updated information of all sorts AS LONG AS IT WAS RECEIVED BY THE DEADLINE DATE! I guess that goes without saying, but many deadlines are quickly approaching so best to make those calls now. But in my opinion, it's probably best to limit updates the things that actually occurred since the first submission (additional test scores, an award or recognition received) rather than an updated resume because you "forgot" something. But that's just my opinion.
