USAFA Additional evaluations

Could someone please let us know for the additional evaluations, letter from Civil Air Patrol Squadron Commander could be in place for JROTC Instructor?

My daughter had this same question and she emailed her AFA admissions counselor.....here was her response:

"You should ask your guidance counselor, principal or a science teacher (chemistry or physics). It has to be someone who is employed at your high school. You may ask your CAP instructor to write one of the optional letters of recommendation though."

So, that makes sense.....they are looking for someone AT THE HIGH SCHOOL (or at the college in the case of ROTC)....so AT THE SCHOOL. And, CAP is not associated with the school.

Same as EvelynG explained. DS used our superintendent for #3 and is having a senior CAP member / current encampment leader write one of the optional letters of rec.

I did not take chemistry nor physics my junior year— will a rec. from a senior year teacher be a problem, because he or she will only know the student for a couple months before writing the rec. ?
