I submitted my application around the end of November, received my nomination, and am DODMERB qualified. When should I estimate to hear back?

In order to maintain realistic expectations and to not go through a needless emotional rollercoaster, just convince yourself that you won't hear back until Mid-April until Late-May.

Thus, if you hear back before then, that would be a great surprise.

Bottom-line: Brace yourself for a long wait.

Hello all! I just received a nomination from my Senator and congressman to USAFA. My entire application is complete, medical waiver granted, the USAFA has been told about my nomination, and I even called my admissions counselor and she told me the board has already reviewed my application. Any guess on how long until I get word of the final decision?

Seriously, though, I wouldn't be eagerly anticipating an appointment anytime soon. Not saying it won't happen, just that is isn't likely unless Admissions has changed their habits significantly this year. I was Early Action (back when they still had that...), and it was a long two months after I got my deferral notice before I finally received my appointment. All in all, I waited 4 1/2 months between submitting my application and hearing anything definitive. Give it time and you will find out. :D In the meantime, continue getting good grades, working out, and NOT GETTING HURT. Good luck! :thumb:
