Congratulations to all those who have received appointments!
I have a question related to inquiring of admissions and/or liaison officers at this time - and certainly in deference to not flooding them with the constant, "where am I at in this process" type of emails. But, I am wondering if it makes any difference to send an update now that my son has concluded his senior season of high school wrestling. He took second at the state tournament and has received several other athletic and academic awards throughout the season. If these items could have been reported earlier when he submitted his application they could have potentially increased his WCS. But, I certainly wouldn't want to bombard folks with more emails if it won't really make a difference at this point.
(By the way, my son sent an email to his admissions POC and liaison officer in February with an update to his senior schedule for spring semester, which I thought was a requirement since there was a change from what he submitted with his application. He received a one word response from admissions ("Ok.") so not sure how to interpret that.)
We can continue to patiently wait, but don't want to leave anything on the table if it could help his application. On the flip side, we but don't want to annoy those who are making decisions... what to do?[/Q
-At this point in the process, I don't believe the ALO is as busy as the admissions counselor and I personally don't believe it would be overly burdensome to ask this question of your son's ALO. This is really one of the purposes of having an ALO. Good luck to your family!
