USAFA Waiting Page C/O 2028

Is the academy taking updates to the applications any more or are they likely done looking at them?
So I actually just sent in updates this morning and the response I got back is that the resume section is closed so they put it as a comment in my file but I was also told that selections are almost complete so additional information probably won't be looked at. I don't think it hurts to add but I got this response really quickly back like within the hour.

Did you email your corresponding team this information or someone else? (Ex silver/blue)

I emailed team blue on the 15th or the 16th to add a new award and they responded in about 1-2 days with: “Great work! I put a note on your application.”. Whether it will actually be considered or not, I have no idea. It can never hurt to add more to your resume. Every bit counts!

When I emailed mine about a month ago, they said my file was already under review and I could not add anything else.

I emailed my most recent accomplishment to Team Blue on February 14th. I got an appointment on March 13th.

Following up on @Wooda's previous point about adding an award to their file. Does anyone have any knowledge of how the process works for those that do not win their slate. I assume every candidate gets assigned a score based on grades, awards, class rank, EC's, interview, CFA, etc. and the top 150-200 are grouped together for further consideration? It would be interesting to know historically how tight, or maybe not that tight, the group is from top to bottom and how the committee considers and ranks candidates with tie scores in this scenario.

Is there always a “big wave” of appointments sometime each year? Hopefully, as many have speculated, it is expected to be today. I was looking at past years appointment lists as well and the c/o 27 ends at 130 or so submissions whereas the year prior has close to 190. What could explain such a vast difference in amount of self reported data between last year and the many years of consistent data before it?

Not everyone who gets an appointment is on this forum. It’s very inconsistent data.

Got a call from my congressman and senator (got a nom from all three MOC) yesterday that I've got an appointment!

I was also told I'll be officially notified on the 20th
I was also told this from my congressman too. Did you get an update on your portal yet? Mine didn't come through so far.
