USAFA Waiting Page C/O 2028

I understand it is not super common, but is there any insight to when they approve applicants who had received a nomination from the Deceased and Disabled Veteran category. Also will there be someone to call like those with MoC noms or just keep checking the portal? Some information would be greatly appreciated.

Sure. 31 ACT, ranked 2nd in his class, multiple varsity sports, several leadership roles in school, and lots of volunteer and community service hours. I hope everyone else waiting today receives good news as well.

No you're still in it.

You're in it until you receive an official rejection and even then that may not be the end.

My USMA Old Grad DD had a friend who was given an official rejection by USMA, and two weeks before Beast, the kid got a call from West Point to see if he was interested in still attending. He was still interested, (surprisingly), graduated, commissioned, and is now an Army 1LT. Don't give up!!!!

I received an appointment conditional on medical qualification (yay!). Should I add myself to the self-updating appointment list on this forum or would it be more appropriate to wait and see if I receive a waiver?

I couldn't find the Candidate Kit online, but I would imagine you could find the majority of what it encompasses from looking at the handbook.

The kit is interactive - they have to complete it by a deadline. Lots of forms to fill out, things to upload, etc.

That’s what was thinking! Maybe this year since Col Pipes is new she’s doing something different with admissions? But based off of previous years lists, the big wave of appointments seems to be 20+ or so. Maybe it will be at a later date or maybe just a steady flow of appointments until the end.
