USAFAPS Class of 2015 Thread

Was notified by my commander today of a prep school appointment! See everybody in July!

Congrats NimikAF! Great to see another prior coming to the prep school. If you're on Facebook look for the class of 2015 prep school page. Or if you PM me your name I can add you into the official group!

DD received phone call from Admissions with Appointment to USAFAPS this morning. So excited! Such a great opportunity.

Congrats! Did admissions call home or cell phone? From what area code? Had a missed call from CO this morning! Fingers crossed!

Sorry just saw this thread. Prep school life IMHO is great. The class size is around 200-240 so it's nice to get to know everyone and past that we've had some great opportunities to get out and see colorado. Once you get the privilege to go out, which isn't TOO long, you can go snowboarding/skiing, catch a movie in the mall or even go up to denver. I already have tickets to catch a Rockies game this May. As far as daily life goes, we wake up at six go to breakfast, and go to class following breakfast. You have 4-5 classes depending on which "track" you're on. But because we go off of a block schedule you alternate classes every other day so you have a free period at some point in the day and a max of three classes per day. After that is lunch, then military time (they sometimes schedule briefings and that kind of stuff) and then extra instruction (time to get help with teachers) then PT time until dinner then a block of time for school work. As far as parents weekend goes, we do have a parents weekend but all of our activities are held down by the prep school, and we get information on that pretty early on so we can give our parents the info they need to know. Congrats class of 2015!
