Is the first day of orientation for USCGAS important for the parent to attend? Is it a special day that parents won't want to miss? I have a conflict and right now will not be able to make without major changes to my schedule.

Is the first day of orientation for USCGAS important for the parent to attend? Is it a special day that parents won't want to miss? I have a conflict and right now will not be able to make without major changes to my schedule.

Tough decision however truly not a huge deal if you are not there. Others might disagree but. We were not there for DS (due to COVID). If like I day for CGA you truly do not see your child alot that day because they are doing indoc paperwork, physicals, getting uniforms. You basically will drop them off in the AM then see them when they take the oath.
