USMA Class of 2020 Appointment Thread

Congratulations to all the appointees! My DD is still waiting...no updates on the portal, no news. Does the acceptance come as a registered mail? The wait is miserable and my DD is moping around. It is painful to watch..

It came in priority mail for my son today. Just happened to double check portal and saw the "appointment offered"'and then ran to the mailbox. No MOC call.

Question ... DS is on wait list, will he hear one way or another? We're full steam ahead on Plan B, but if by a minute chance he's offered USMA he'd take it.

He will hear either way - with an appointment or a QNS (Qualified but Not Selected) letter.

Thank you! As I thought about it more, I realized that would of course be the case. I've also spoken with quite a few people in our area who had been waitlisted and heard back in May that they didn't receive appointments.
 
DS just declined his appointment over the weekend so hopefully that opens a slot to someone else soon!

My son was offered an AOG Scholarship and has accepted. He has chosen Marion Military Institute. Prior to the AOG offer he was planning on attending Norwich with a 4 yr ROTC scholarship that he was awarded. West Point has always been his dream. We check his portal daily and still no QNS status or TWE. Does this mean he is still being considered for an appointment? When will we know for sure?
