usma loa

No - he's second in line -- one in college, one in middle school, one in grade school -- I have a LONG way to go....so another mouth to feed at home won't make much of a difference to me -- his brother wants him out so his mess can take over the entire room...:shake:

I opened my mail this morning and there it was!

"Congratulations! The Admissions Committee has recommended you for an appointment to the USMA. Accordingly, I have reserved a cadetship for you contingent upon receipt of a nomination, medical qualification, resolution of Height/Weight Infraction, continued excellent work in school, and file completion."

ahhh it feels great! I really wasn't expecting an LOA.

and what does the hieght/weight infraction mean? I am 6'0" 155. I don't see that as being an infraction. eh

Congratulations, Daniel.:groupwave: I'm so happy for you. If everything goes well, maybe you and my son will head out to WP together.:beer1:

Wow. That is a possibility! I really hope that does happen. haha

Yeah, if that happens I'll be less sad knowing he has a friend from home with him.

Just imagine in 5 years, this could be you :tank: or this :guns6: or this :guns4: or this :tank1: or this :guns: or this :rocket: but this will never be you :tomcat:

Maybe not in a Tomcat but I hear that the Army has plenty of opportunities in their Aviation branch. Not just helicopters but fixed wing as well.

:stupid1: just keeding. haha

and thanks flyers!

edit: ^ That was for aznarkarus. not you moderator!

no problem. I am so bored from this paper, i had to liven up my night

Ask Larry Mullen about the height/weight thing...but my "uneducated guess" is that you need to double up on the Christmas cookies and candy this year!

I bet you they just put that in there for in general. Like as long as you pass DODMERB, get nom and are ok hieght wieght ur good! I dont think its personal, but hey, call the admissions office and find out.

I cant believe they're calling me underweight or overweight. I'm a pretty buff looking guy. :shake: No really. 6ft 155lb. thats not a problem right?:yllol:

and thanks and good luck to everyone else! Man its so exciting!

Can't see that it would be a problem. Both my son's were over 6' tall when they started and wieghed in the 155 range -- I'd ask and make sure there isn't a typo somewhere that has your height or weight wrong...:thumb:

Congrats Daniel! Good luck with the nomination and DoDMERB. You posted a week ago that you hadn't completed your file. How long did it take for the admissions office decision once you completed your file? It seems the review and decision must have happened right away.
