USMMA Appointment Accepted. What to accept next?

Hi soccermom I’m so sorry about USNA but happy you’ll be joining us at USMMA! The 2028 FB page looks like this. I also joined the wrong one at first! They had a zoom call last night that was very helpful and there will be more to come! Also passport needs to be valid through graduation 2028.

How long did it take to accept the FB request? I’ve requested, answered all questions but still not able to join the group ….

My DS is currently working on his TWIC application. I saw in the logging in instructions it said choose MMA as employer, but then it wants an address- do we put the address of the Academy?

As you state, the Logging In document say to list the employer as the MMA. I would therefore use

Just got my TWIC, I believe you are supposed to put your current address as that will be the one used to mail your card. Not sure though you can always email them for confirmation.

Guidance for what is needed can be found at TWIC requirements. A current residential address is needed (see item #2) as well as an employer address (see item #10).

Just a word of caution on the Facebook groups. Be careful what you post there and especially with any identifying information about your plebe candidate. There are always parents who share information about what they learn with their own kids. It then gets back to the entire regiment and can be very embarrassing to your PC.

Thank you. We already checked his latest passport (he's had one since he was a year old) and it is valid for another two years. We will apply for TWIC card this week. Can't wait for this next step in the process. He is excited and is not least bit disappointed with the USNA rejection. He has been reading USMMA a lot and feels it is a better option for him over USNA.

I believe they will want a passport that will be valid for the entirety of their time at USMMA.

We have a class of 2028 group on Facebook for new appointees and setback. Not much going on but it’s a good place to start for incoming PCs

For Incoming Plebe Candidates (new students):

-Expect to receive via snail mail a "Logging-In Book" which extensively covers what to do and more, generally early May time frame. Older versionsc can be found on this forum.

-Big ticket items: have current Passport/TWIC card/possible wisdom teeth removal/Maintain stellar Physical Fitness/Know and practice the art of TIME MANAGEMENT for academics/Appreciate the "plebe killer" classes are Physics/Calculus/Chemistry (some choose to do an abbreviated review of these subjects prior to Indoc, Day 0).

-Admissions may hold additional Zoom calls for the newly formed Class prior to Indoc. Highly recommend attending those.

-There is a Class of 2028 FB page you can join for students only.

For Parents/Guardians of the Incoming Plebe Candidates:

-State Chapters exist within the parent organization and these groups can be great for local support and community. Many of these will hold an annual celebratory event for the new class of students and families. These chapters will also support you and your student throughout the year with various activities. You can visit the directory to see which chapter coordinates with your location:

In theory, these chapters will reach out to you via your student if communications are flowing. There are many opportunities for parents to get involved in a supportive role and to help with Academy outreach.
