The cadets did a great job at the opening ceremony at the US Open last night! Each cadet carried a national flag from participating countries. What great representation of the USMMA. :thumb:

Not that I am aware of. My son said he took some pictures. I will try to post if I get access to these. Will ask around for a video, maybe someones family recorded it.

On the US Open web site there is one picture with Andre Agassi talking and you can see the Mids holdinf the flags. I have not seen any video yet as I searched the web.

oh,yes, please, if anyone has pictures, please post a link. my DS unexpectedly got an opportunity to participate in this and he was thrilled. "One of the coolest things I've ever done."

It was the first time he was off campus with his uniform on (dress whites no less) and he was overwhelmed by the reaction of people, clapping and thanking them, etc. He said he didn't know how to respond; what to say.

A retired marine bought them dinner in one of the restaurants and the waiter tried to get them to accept a bottle of his best wine (obviously, they had to refuse).

He was pretty blown away by the whole thing. Another experience none of his high school friends will be having at their colleges.

Sounds like a lot cooler thing to do then go to a Mets game as a Class how many mids got the opportunity?

I think about 50 to 60. What a great experience for the mids and publicity for the Academy.

Sounds like this was a great time, enjoyed by the few, that had the good fortune to be selected!!!
