USNA 2025 Waiting and....Waiting

Incredibly awesome! Congrats to your DD and your family. Can you share the magic combination of stats and attributes that resulted in 2 appoints and ROTC type 1?

My DS received an AFROTC Type 7, accepted at a top 7 public university, 7yrs civil air patrol, 3yrs squadron cmdr, capt rank, 1420 SAT, 3.89 GPA, 14th HS rank, AP everything, varsity 2yrs, excellent interviews, excellent essays (IMO), a MOC nomination, etc, etc. but no appointment at the USNA or USAFA. We are now trying to decide whether to make a 2nd SA run starting this summer or not. ... thks

Congrats on USMA! Sorry about the USNA disappointment. Did you find out in yesterday’s TWE wave or this morning? My DS is still waiting.

@Colorado_2025 I’m wondering the same thing. I don’t think there’s been any USNA news this morning beyond the candidate who posted earlier saying he email his admissions officer who said this could take up to a few weeks more to form the c/o 2025.
 
Total guess, but maybe the big wave of TWEs was yesterday at 1403 Eastern time.

BUT ..... others stated that admissions said they would notify everyone of status by today. Today ain't over yet.
 
On the admissions live chat they said most everyone should know today. Some NAPS may be delayed. Suggested if you don’t hear anything today then email your admissions office tomorrow.
 
I am currently in a chat with USNA. The majority of decisions will be made today, exception being some who are being considered for prep school. There is no time frame, such as the end of business day, the decisions can be at anytime. So we continue to wait......

He is already checked in for their detachment. fingers crossed they will approve his waiver request through DoD.. bad news is we have to wait ( so they tell him) till he actually gets to school to find out if the ROTC will give him the waivers..

Just got third rejection.. Add Air Force Academy to the list. On the bright side... I always say, this builds character and tenacity. It will be even sweeter when DS finally gets in. Trust in faith

I received an appointment to ‘25 a few weeks ago, but I just wanted to drop in and encourage everyone who got a TWE. You should all be insanely proud that you made it this far and even completed the application. That in itself is an accomplishment. From reading through this thread, everyone’s Plan A-’s look great, and I know you’ll do great there. I hope to see you all in the fleet one way or another!

We are still waiting too on USNA. Plan A2 is USMA for my DS too. Sooooo, most likely see y'all at the Point at the end of June.
