Who likes visuals??

It's on another thread, but the number of September-December appointments would be on the left side of the graph, low to the axis and April-May appointments would be on the right side of the graph, also very few in number. The high part would be the number of appointments offered January - March

Good examples of outliers:
- NAPS, sponsored prep, who tend to receive their appointments later, when it seems clear they will successfully complete their program
- someone with an LOA, or without, who has a hanging medical that finally clears
- a desired candidate without a nom, who is given a VP nom and offer of appointment, as the class build-out nears completion
- and, late in the game for no apparent reason!

Completely normal. My DS received an appointment from USAFA in Jan 2019 but didn't accept until April after he had decisions from USNA and USCGA.

I think its a High School Senior thing. Back when I was applying, USNA had long been my first choice and I had decent alternative choices (NROTC scholarship) already in the bag. When my appointment arrived in early February my parents and I were at the kitchen table looking at it and I said "Wow, I really need to think about which offer to accept" at which point my father looked at me strangely and said "Are you out of your mind?" in a not-too-gentle tone.

After a bit of reflection, I snapped out of it and jumped on the acceptance train and didn't look back or take the uniform off for a very long time.
