Pending as of 9 am today
Hate to hear this. The roller coaster of emotions is really hard for us parents and the kids.My DS was a re-applicant PNom (it did show in Java Script). He was TD last week, then put back to Pending to be TD yesterday. Only thing that has me question the portal is his colllege transcripts box is still unchecked. I also, believe they must have really went through the package with a fine tooth comb.
Rooting for your DS to get pulled off the waitlist ……
Such a great unit...and school! My DS got a TWE and is highly likely to accept ND Navy ROTC as well. Go Irish and Go Navy!
Better hurry. That email should have gone out alreadyThank you. DS received a response from his BGO agreeing it was worth looking into and that he'd see what he can find out.
Did you/DS/DD have USMMA?TD here.
He's locked on for NSI Iteration 2 at Great Lakes.
Best wishes to those still in the fight.
As always...'94 SAYS SEMPER FIDELIS & BEAT ARMY!

I was rooting for you! What’s plan B?Turned down in VA. Moving forward with solid Plan B. Congratulations to all those with appointments and those on the waitlist!
USMMA - Beat Coast Guard! It is great she has options. Nevertheless the sting of know hurts- I think sometimes it hurts us parents more than the kid.Woke up early.... I saw TD for my daughter. Her dream of being on the Yard with her sister is over but she has an awesome Plan B with USCGAS or USMMA. Two great options and really excited for her future. She really worked hard for these opportunities.
It has been fun, nerve-wracking, and stressful, but I enjoyed sharing the ride with everyone. On to awesome plan B's!! I wish everyone great success in the future... Go NAVY! BEAT ARMY!
Don’t say that. If you want it keep going!!!Well, finally got the TD today. Turned down for NASS, turned down for Inspire (twice), didn’t get a nomination, and Annapolis was so kind to drag it out until April 16th to beat me down once more. Good luck to everyone else, it appears that Annapolis is just not in the cards for me.
See you in December!!DS received the TD update last night in his portal.... Accepted USMA appointment 15 mins later... Go Army! Beat Navy! and best of luck to all you that are still waiting for an answer!!!
Definitely second that!! Keep on going. If serving is what you want Keep it goingDon’t say that. If you want it keep going!!!
To be honest, I would have been more keen to look at reapplying if they would have just turned me down when I didn’t get a nomination. The fact that they dragged it out this long is not really a cool thing to do.Don’t say that. If you want it keep going!!!
Did they drag you out, potentially. You can still compete for an appointment to USNA and NAPS without one. Make it to the waitlist, and congressional districts sort of fade away, and you compete for any open slot possible.(correct me if I’m wrong) They saw something in you, but they had to make a decision. To be honest, I would have been more keen to look at reapplying if they would have just turned me down when I didn’t get a nomination. What if you were next man up on the additional appointee list? No idea. But admissions has to wait for some declines, etc, to know where things are settling in. I’m positive they didn’t drag you out to cause you pain or dissatisfaction. To be honest, I would have been more keen to look at reapplying if they would have just turned me down when I didn’t get a nomination. Wow. 94% yield expectation. That surprises me as there seem to be a lot of young-adults who are applying to multiple SAs. (DS included - Pending in CA)
Possibly, but tired of all the consolation prizes. To drag someone out this long and not even make a waitlist or NAPS tells me that that there was not much consideration. What if you were next man up on the additional appointee list? No idea. I know it’s disappointing. I’m sorry you got the news you ultimately did. But even though you didn’t have a nom, you were still being considered. That say a lot about you, in a positive way.
Good luck to you!
I agree with you 100%. I’m very sorryPossibly, but tired of all the consolation prizes. To drag someone out this long and not even make a waitlist or NAPS tells me that that there was not much consideration.
