Admissions can decide as close as a week before IDay so is not coming to a closeI know that the admission decisions are coming to a close, but is there anyone who is still waiting for a waiver but has an LOA?

VA - 8
And you'll have a built-in underclass to pin your shoulder boards and he'll receive a silver dollar when you commission. Good deal on both sides.Imagine the gouge you’ll be able to share with him… or not.
How amazing that you two will spend three years together there! Amazing!
God bless your parents and your support system! 2 kiddos at USNA in a year! What an amazing family. Congratulations to you all.My twin brother just got his offer to NAPS. He had no nomination so I am just really surprised. Although he will be coming in a year after me, I am not really sure how to feel

Update?I’m also still waiting GA 12!
You have a far higher chance of getting accepted as a fleet applicantJust checked and I got waitlisted. VA-10. No nomination. Looks like i will probably go plan b, usmc bootcamp in the summer and then join the VT corp of cadet, will start reapplying after bootcamp.
Yes, it is still Pending as of last night.Still pending?!
Yes, as of last night, my DS was still Pending. Hoping my DS wakes up to a FQOStill pending?!
Thanks for your insights.Anyone who applies for a VP nom technically qualifies for it. Only 5 can be charged there. The Supe can technically have 50 discretionary noms (if I recall correctly). In BGO training it has been repeated many times that USNA prefers to keep that number minimal, I believe most years it’s the 5-10 range.
That's awesome, then he'll have to greet YOU your youngster year.
I will have to revisit this later!!!Just go with happy and figure it out as you go. Take your cues from him. No doubt it will feel odd to be separated, but you’ll figure it out.
A nom isn’t necessary for a NAPS offer. They liked what they saw in his application, felt he wasn’t a good fit for whatever reason for 2028, and he has a seat saved for him in 2029.
If you’re identical, way down the road, and if you’re a detailer, and he’s around during that summer, dress him up in a 2/C set of shoulder boards and a spare red detailer name tag with your surname. Direct your plebes to do a uniform race from X uniform into Y uniform, and just to make it interesting, you will do it with them to show them how fast it can be done. Door shuts. You are in X. You hear bedlam inside as the scramble begins. Your brother is in Y, of course, and knocks on the door about 8 seconds later, demonstrating his superior skills at uniform races. You are nowhere in sight. Now go for Z. He announces race to Z. You appear at the door in miraculous time wearing Z.
This will make sense to you at some point this summer.
We had a set of identical twin sisters in our sponsor mid family - one had a slightly lighter tiny mole on her temple than her sister - who were both detailers at the same time. They pulled all kinds of twin stuff. Plebes finally figured it out.
Haha thank you!!God bless your parents and your support system! 2 kiddos at USNA in a year! What an amazing family. Congratulations to you all.
As a member of the “sibling club”, it’s really VERY cool. Beyond what you can think. And actually, your twin will have a leg up on YOU, as s/he will learn from mistakes/choices/hints/tricks/tactics from your prior ‘been there, done that’ experience at USNA.My twin brother just got his offer to NAPS. I am still pending as of this morning!Update?
Hoping for all good things!I am still pending as of this morning!
You can accept it now. And change if you receive an offer, and decide you want it.If I don't get a decision from USNA in the next few days, I will take my USAFA offer. The deadline to accept that is approaching fast. This is absurd.
Woohooo!!! I was rooting for your DS!Good morning
My DS received a NAPS Waitlist this morning. He will accept
Go Navy
Thank you so so much!As a member of the “sibling club”, it’s really VERY cool. Beyond what you can think. And actually, your twin will have a leg up on YOU, as s/he will learn from mistakes/choices/hints/tricks/tactics from your prior ‘been there, done that’ experience at USNA.
An interesting tidbit: at my BGO training, I was asking about siblings: do they have a better chance of an appointment bc of a prior sibling? The answer surprised me. No, they don’t. Except for twins bc studies show that twins do better if they are together. Thought that was interesting.
Congrats to you both. And to your parents. Who get another year in Annapolis (hopefully).
