USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

And as a reference, standard Magic 8 Ball answers are below. SAF can certainly produce some of its own.

There are also online Magic 8 Balls if you’re quietly desperate.

What is the penalty for not ending a sentence with a period?
My final Admissions Decision will be retroactively delayed a month.
That put it into mid-March of mumble mumble years ago.

Great tips!! In this case, need to get a car to drive around, pick him up in the early afternoon and send him back before the time is up.
What I’ve done over the 8 yrs of USNA involvement (and will do going forward however many years my people stay ‘in’), is to book a few REFUNDABLE/CANCELABLE/CHANGEABLE options. Hotels, especially, have generous cancellation policies. For example, a year out, we had 4 different Army Navy housing reservations we eventually whittled down, once we knew reliable details (how many are going. Transportation needs. Etc).

I booked the same way for each Iday (a couple reservations for different scenarios) and PPW. Those two weeks (and Commissioning) are the biggest drain on the local housing/transportation industries bc everyone is coming at the same time. And often they include extended family. Inventory will always be there, so don’t worry, but the best selection/price is early (I also dump in flights…most airlines have good change/cancelation programs these days).

* I’ll toss in a plug for Turo. On these huge demand days, the airport car rental services can get bogged down (even as a priority ‘walk to your car’ member). We waited 3 hrs for a car at BWI once, and almost 2 hrs recently at BOS (ArmyNavy) - demand issues. With Turo, you can walk straight to your waiting car…(as always, check instructions).

Does USNA often ask for 7th semester grades? Do they ask for them because they want to see classes like Chemistry, Biology and Calculus that the candidates are taking in senior year?
Or do they want them because the candidate’s academic performance is in question?

Can be either, or both.

Many HS guidance counselors send them out to colleges their students are applying to as a routine procedure.
Also, all appointees are required to submit final HS transcripts.

My guess is that USNA wants to see that an applicant/appointee didn’t take their foot off of the gas pedal.

No slacking.

No senioritis.

Once the academic year starts at any academy the crap hits the fan and managing time and tasks and obligations becomes real.

They are looking for those who keep accelerating and are accountable post the accolades.
