Hello everybody. I was just wondering if anybody has received a nomination from VA-10 (Congressman Wolf) and/or Senator Kaine and has heard back from the Academy about their admissions decision yet? Thank you.

I believe there is one with a Wolf nomination in the appointment thread. I think there are two VA appointments in the thread this far.

Thank you. Yes, I did see that vshun's DS had received a nomination from Congressman Wolf as well. However, I also saw in another thread that he had received a call from Senator Warner's office notifying him about his appointment. If this is the case, wouldn't this mean he was appointed from Senator Warner's slate? I'm just curious hahah. Nevertheless, I will continue to wait patiently for news from the Academy and hope for the best.

I had the same thoughts... I think one of them was a principal nomination also? DS received Warner and Hurt's nominations to USMMA and Hurt's to USAFA also. Hard to make sense of all of it and piece together what we do know (for those who participate in the forum). There is a very big unknown out there (those who are NOT in the forum).

Agreed. At this point I feel as if it would be best for both your DS and I to just accept the fact that we have done everything we can. The decision is not in our hands anymore! Hahaha it's kind of scary to admit but I think we should learn to carry on with our lives and whatever happens will happen. Good luck to you DS in his pursuit for an appointment.

Hi, indeed Warner office called us twice (once my son and another time my wife) so probably my son is nominated from his slate and not Congressman Wolf's. However since he is retired and his staff changed it is really hard to say. Good luck!

Yes we have several backup plans in place and have come to appreciate that "no news is good news but alas it is still no news." Lol. Good luck to all!

We're there too and haven't heard anything from anyone. DS has nominations from Wolf and Kaine, as well as a presidential. We definitely wouldn't expect to hear from Wolf, since he's not in office anymore. It's hard to be patient!

Congressman Wolf's SA coordinator is in Congresswoman Comstock's office. I called hoping to let her know DS received a USNA appointment (second time around), and she (coordinator) answered the phone! BTW, DS had nominations from Congressman Wolf and Senator Kaine, but we did not get a call before the BFE arrived. From what I've read, we may never know which slate he was charged to. Hope the wait ends soon and happily for you!

MOCs can see acceptances and are notified of it. They are given a certain amount of days to notify a candidate before portals and BFEs are sent. But they can only give the info if they have it. Sounds like they may have had it but no one took action, looked it up, or the staffer who gets that email distro was on vacation or was busy. At this point slotting is going slow as they wait for acceptances, final waivers, slot for prep options, etc.
